The Cardiac Neurodevelopmental Family Symposium (see link to brochure) will be held on Saturday July 22 in the Folkman Auditorium, with an optional reception the evening before for families traveling to Boston. The topics for the meeting were chosen with the help of a parent advisory panel. The symposium will feature lectures, break-out sessions, and networking opportunities around cardiac neurodevelopment, including an education panel and information about education law and advocacy, social cognition and individual learning styles, recreation and community for the child with cardiac disease (delivered by our own Naomi Gauthier), red flags in development, and age-specific topics in the break-out sessions. There is a small fee for family participation, but it can be waived if the family does not have resources. We are happy to send hard copies of the attached brochure to any offices that would like them for families to peruse or take home (just let Jane Newburger know). Finally, NECCA cardiologists and staff are most cordially invited. Please find the event Brochure by clicking here...
